Welcome to Money Magnets Club’s Summer newsletter to update you on our exciting happenings and to keep you informed of ways to experience our programs or to get involved to make them happen!

Our mission is to “serve as a community that encourages entrepreneurship and financial literacy among elementary school kids and their responsible adults through education, exposure, and resources,” and we do that to help kids and families build generational wealth. SEED20 Recap

We were fortunate to be chosen to participate and to win a prize at Social Venture Partners’ SEED20 OnStage event in April. It was an incredible experience. See the video and learn more of what our Executive Director, Alexandra, pitched by clicking the image to the left.

Community Events

The Money Magnets Club staff and a new volunteer had the opportunity to connect with community members in West Charlotte in the Freedom Drive and West Boulevard corridors at a couple of different festivals. See where we’ve been and where we’ll be next this summer by checking the events section of our website’s home page often, and our Instagram feed!

This July our co-founder, Alexandra, is turning 40! We are celebrating for the next two weeks until her birthday. Will you celebrate with us by donating at least $40 for what will be an annual Summer Birthday Fundraiser?? Thank you for your generosity in supporting kids’ business ideas.

Check out our summer entrepreneur spotlight:

Meet Myles McGregor of Charlotte Immaculate. He is in his 20s and owns a concierge transportation company, among many other things. He came to our last program of the school year and invested some cash into these wonderful young ladies’ dreams and fledgling plans for owning a business!

Calling all owners! Money Magnets Club is seeking additional board members and skill-based volunteers for the 2023-2024 season. For our Board of Directors, who are the legal owners of a nonprofit organization, there is a maximum monthly time commitment about an hour per week, a minimum donation requirement, and the opportunity to make lifetimes of impact! For volunteers, if you have media/communications expertise, project and strategic management, or curriculum/instruction background, we want to work with you. Want to learn more? Reach out today.
