Where are they now?
In the seven years of Money Magnets Club’s existence, we have had the great opportunity to share experiences with some phenomenal youth. We have been able to catch up with a few of our earliest Money Magnets Club members to see what they’re up to now. Follow this series to be introduced to some of these awesome students and see the great things they are doing since we met them early on in Money Magnets Club’s history.
Meet Rafael
THEN (image on the left): Rafael and his twin brother attended several of the early Money Magnets Club meetings back in 2019 at the West Blvd. branch of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library. He was a bright and inquisitive students then and that has only continued to develop over time.
NOW (image on the right): Rafael is a freshman Levine Scholar at UNC Charlotte who participated recently in a volunteer experience at Junior Achievement. He also is participating in UNC Charlotte’s Financial Literacy department program called Niner Finances, and is pursuing an Accounting degree.
While Money Magnets Club can’t take credit for Rafael’s ingenuity and sharpness, we can definitely say we sowed some good seeds early in his journey that are growing beautifully.
