Financial health Roundtable

If you’ve ever wondered how many financial literacy programs, services, resources and the like there are for youth and adults, and how to learn about them, this effort is in progress to support answering that question in a cohesive, streamlined, and connected way.

One of the working assumptions is that, in one of the financial services capitals in our country, that there is not enough cross-sector conversation.

In March 2024 a dozen decision-makers in the nonprofit service provider, financial services, and education sectors came together to start an ongoing conversation from which we seek to operationalize a working group to execute on several mutually identified priorities. Some of the initial energy in the space with those that came together were:

  1. Importance of the availability of emergency funds

  2. Accessible and multi-generational financial education

  3. Better collaboration among service-providing entities and financial education stakeholders.

We are excited about the continuing developments, including the potential to create an asset map of available resources and services in Charlotte, NC!

The next meeting will be held on June 2nd in South Park. If you’re interested to attend, please email us at info@moneymagnetsclub.org
